Właśnie dlatego potrzebują bliskości, uwagi i spokojnego traktowania — nie dlatego, że są „złe”, ale dlatego, że są wyjątkowo wrażliwe.
Nigdy nie spotkaliśmy się z tym, aby syjamski kot chciał „zemścić się” na człowieku. Wręcz przeciwnie — nawet w stresującej sytuacji bardzo często wybiera uniknięcie konfliktu zamiast agresji.
Koty tej rasy doskonale rozumieją swoją siłę. Nawet kiedy dziecko przypadkowo zrobi coś nieostrożnie, większość syjamów po prostu odejdzie, schowa się lub spokojnie pokaże dyskomfort, zamiast zrobić komuś krzywdę.
Są to koty bardzo delikatne emocjonalnie i mocno nastawione na relację z człowiekiem.
Mieliśmy wiele sytuacji pokazujących, jak bardzo syjamy potrafią wyczuwać emocje. Pewnego razu dziecko zaczęło płakać w drugim pokoju. Nasza Nala od razu to usłyszała i szybko przybiegła. Zamiast się przestraszyć czy uciec, podeszła spokojnie, położyła się obok i zaczęła się przytulać. Po chwili dziecko już się uśmiechało.
To właśnie takie momenty najlepiej pokazują prawdziwy charakter kotów syjamskich — inteligentnych, czułych i niezwykle empatycznych.
